Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By signing up for Lighthouse, creating a free Lighthouse account, installing a Lighthouse monitoring device, or accessing the Lighthouse dashboard or any Lighthouse-powered web page, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you ("Customer") and 919 IT Solutions LLC ("919 IT Solutions," "we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
Lighthouse is a network monitoring service. Paid subscription tiers (Self-Healing, Full-Service) install a hardware device at your property to measure internet uptime, latency, and speed, and include access to a management dashboard, automated outage detection, and a public-facing WiFi performance page ("CheckOutMyWiFi page") displaying independently verified data. Features available to you depend on your subscription tier.
The Free tier requires no hardware and no payment. Free accounts include a CheckOutMyWiFi page on which internet speed information is entered and self-reported by the property host ("Host-Reported Data") and is not independently measured or verified by 919 IT Solutions. Free accounts are limited to three (3) properties.
3. Billing and Payment
The Free tier carries no fees and requires no payment method. The following billing terms apply to paid subscription tiers only.
The one-time setup fee is charged at the time of enrollment. Monthly subscription fees begin on the date your Lighthouse device comes online and is confirmed active, or 14 days after your order date - whichever comes first, and are billed on the same date each month thereafter. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as described in Section 4 (30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee).
By providing a payment method at enrollment, you authorize 919 IT Solutions LLC to charge your card automatically each month upon subscription activation and at each renewal thereafter. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your dashboard or by contacting support@lighthouse-str.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
919 IT Solutions LLC reserves the right to adjust subscription pricing with at least 30 days prior written notice.
4. 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not fully satisfied with the Lighthouse service for any reason, you may cancel within 30 days of your service activation date and receive a full refund of your one-time setup fee and any monthly subscription fees paid during that period.
To request a refund, contact us at support@lighthouse-str.com within 30 days of your activation date. You must return the Lighthouse monitoring device within 14 days of cancellation in the same condition as received. Refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
This guarantee applies to your first subscription term only and may not be combined with other offers or promotions.
5. Hardware
This section applies to paid subscription tiers only. Free tier accounts do not receive hardware and have no obligations under this section.
The Lighthouse monitoring device remains the property of 919 IT Solutions LLC at all times. By accepting a device, you agree to:
- Keep the device connected and powered during normal operation
- Not tamper with, modify, or attempt to repair the device
- Return the device promptly upon request or at the end of service
- Notify us if the device is lost, stolen, or damaged
Damage to or loss of the device may result in a replacement fee of up to $200. Physical installation — connecting the device to your router via ethernet — is the responsibility of the property owner or their representative. 919 IT Solutions provides remote setup assistance but does not guarantee on-site installation support.
6. Data Collection and Privacy
Lighthouse collects network performance data from your property, including internet uptime, connection latency, speed test results, and device status. This data is:
- Stored securely on our servers
- Used to operate the Lighthouse dashboard and generate your performance reports
- Never sold to third parties
- Not used to monitor the content of your internet traffic
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@lighthouse-str.com. If you enable the public CheckOutMyWiFi page, performance data for your property will be visible to anyone with the page link. You control whether this page is enabled and can disable it at any time from your dashboard.
7. CheckOutMyWiFi Page
If you enable a public WiFi performance page, you acknowledge that:
- Performance data displayed is collected by the Lighthouse device and is informational only
- 919 IT Solutions makes no representations or guarantees about the accuracy or completeness of the data
- You are responsible for ensuring the page accurately represents your property to the best of your knowledge
- 919 IT Solutions reserves the right to remove or disable any public page that violates these Terms
Host-Reported Data (Free Tier). Free tier accounts may display internet speed information that is entered manually by the property host and is not measured, tested, or verified by 919 IT Solutions. By publishing Host-Reported Data on a CheckOutMyWiFi page, you represent that the information reflects your genuine, good-faith understanding of your property's internet capabilities. You agree not to post false, misleading, or materially inaccurate speed information. 919 IT Solutions makes no representation as to the accuracy of Host-Reported Data and expressly disclaims any liability arising from a guest's reliance on such data. Pages displaying Host-Reported Data are clearly labeled as such.
8. No Service Guarantee
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. 919 IT Solutions does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation of the service. We do not guarantee that the service will detect all outages or network issues at your property. No service level agreement (SLA) applies unless separately agreed to in writing.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, 919 IT SOLUTIONS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST REVENUE, LOST PROFITS, OR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Lighthouse to monitor any network or property for which you do not have authorization. You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or misrepresent the service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 919 IT Solutions LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Communications
By signing up, you agree to receive communications from 919 IT Solutions LLC related to your service, including setup instructions, status alerts, and information about Lighthouse features. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time. Transactional communications related to your active service cannot be opted out of. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. and is subject to their terms of service and privacy policy.
13. Termination
Either party may terminate service at any time with written notice. Upon termination of a paid subscription, you must return any hardware within 14 days. Hardware return obligations do not apply to Free tier accounts. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect via email or dashboard notice. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Wake County, North Carolina.
